Members and invitations

Who can see this workspace, and how they got an account.

There is no sign-up page#

Accounts come only from invitations. A workspace owner creates a link, and that link:

• Works once
• Expires after 7 days
• Opens only the workspace that issued it

There is no other way a customer account comes into existence, so every account that exists was invited by a specific person.

Roles#

An owner can invite people and manage sites. A member can read the data. The exact role is shown beside each person in the list.

Removing a member#

Removal takes effect on the next data read, not when their session expires. Every data route checks membership against the database on every request, a tab switch inside the dashboard never re-runs the page's own check, so the routes must.

Platform staff are not members#

Accounts with a platform role work in a separate console. A staff action never appears in your Activity trail. That trail is the customer's.
